HKS M-Series spark plugs are high performance Iridium plugs that improve ignition performance, durability, and carbon build-up resistance. Because of its longevity and dependability, the Iridium alloy is employed. A tiny core generally reduces the life duration of a plug, but with the extreme resilience of iridium, there is no loss of life. The electrode can withstand high amounts of compression and moderate banging because it has a higher melting point of 2454 degrees C than white gold, which is 1769 degrees C. The spark plug is further protected from premature corrosion by a nickel coating on the housing. Iridium plugs are available in a variety of heat ranges, including "colder" heat ranges of 7 and up, as well as heat ranges of 9 and above for rotating applications.
